FOB Terms
All APC Wheel Stop products are sold FOB (Free On Board) Pomona, CA. Product pricing covers manufacturing and loading at our facility at 1143 W 2nd St, Pomona, CA 91766. Freight charges are quoted separately based on your delivery location, quantity, and service requirements.
Your freight quote is provided alongside your product quote so there are no surprises. Title and risk of loss transfer to the buyer when product is loaded onto the carrier at our facility.
Lead Times
We confirm lead time within one business day of order placement. Standard orders typically ship within 5–10 business days from our Pomona, CA facility. Factors that may extend lead time include:
- Large-volume orders (100+ units)
- Custom color or marking requests
- Seasonal production peaks
We communicate timeline updates promptly. If your project has a hard delivery deadline, let us know at the time of order and we will advise whether it can be accommodated.
Freight Delivery
Precast concrete wheel stops ship via commercial LTL (Less Than Truckload) or full flatbed freight — not parcel carriers like UPS or FedEx. Typical transit times from Pomona, CA:
- Southern California (LA, OC, Inland Empire, San Diego): 1–3 business days
- Northern California (Bay Area, Sacramento, Central Valley): 3–5 business days
- Nationwide: 5–10 business days depending on destination
Tracking information is provided once your order ships. Freight carriers will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment for business addresses; residential deliveries are appointment-only.
Site Requirements for Delivery
Freight deliveries require the following site conditions. Failure to meet these requirements may result in a failed delivery attempt and redelivery charges.
- Truck access: Site must accommodate a full-size flatbed truck (typically 48–53 feet in length). Confirm clearance for overhead obstructions and turning radius.
- Unloading equipment: You are responsible for providing a forklift, telehandler, or similar equipment rated for the load. A pallet of CB06 stops can exceed 2,000 lbs.
- Receiving personnel: An authorized person must be on-site to receive the shipment, inspect for damage, and sign the bill of lading.
Liftgate Service
If your site does not have unloading equipment, liftgate service can be arranged through the freight carrier at an additional charge. Liftgate capacity is typically limited to 2,500–3,000 lbs per lift — larger orders may require multiple lifts.
Request liftgate service when placing your order. We cannot add liftgate to a shipment already in transit.
Will-Call Pickup (Pomona, CA)
Customers in the Southern California area may pick up orders directly from our facility at 1143 W 2nd St, Pomona, CA 91766. Will-call pickup eliminates freight charges and gives you full control over your delivery timeline.
To arrange will-call, notify us when placing your order. We will contact you when your order is ready for pickup. Requirements:
- Bring a truck or trailer rated for the total weight of your order
- Bring straps or chains for securing the load
- Will-call hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Call ahead to confirm pickup time
Receiving and Inspection
Inspect your shipment carefully before signing the bill of lading. Follow these steps:
- Count every unit. Verify quantity against your order confirmation and the bill of lading.
- Inspect for damage. Check for cracks, chips, or broken anchor pins. Minor surface scuffs are normal and do not affect structural performance.
- Photograph any damage before unloading. Clear photos are required for freight claims.
- Note damage on the bill of lading before signing. Write "received with damage — see notes" and describe the damage.
- Sign the bill of lading once inspection is complete.
Signing an unnotated bill of lading constitutes acceptance of the shipment in good condition and may limit your ability to file a freight claim.
Damage Claims
If you discover damage after unloading, contact us within 48 hours with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the damaged units and packaging
- A copy of the bill of lading
We will coordinate with the freight carrier to process a claim. Damage claims reported after 48 hours or without documentation may not be eligible for carrier reimbursement.
Returns
Precast concrete wheel stops are custom-manufactured to order. Returns are accepted on a case-by-case basis for product defects (not freight damage). Contact us at info@apcwheelstops.com or 866-243-9495 within 30 days of delivery to initiate a return request.
Return freight costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect confirmed by APC.
